This is my favorite time of year. I enjoy watching the flowers begin to peek through the ground and then the grand showing of all of their beautiful colors. The trees are budding out and starting to bloom. It’s God, repainting the landscape for our enjoyment. The robins are hopping around the yard looking for worms and insects, the cardinals are calling for their mates. The promise of the renewal of life in our yards and gardens.
April also continues our journey with Christ through the remainder of lent and the coming of Easter. As we read the scripture, let us remember that this journey for us at times is difficult. Imagine how tough it had to have been for Jesus. Knowing what He had to do for us. Knowing how His death at the time would deeply wound and hurt His family and friends. As we go through the wilderness in our lives let us look forward, knowing that our God loves us so much, that He sent His only son to die for us. For our renewal at the end of time.
God’s Peace to you all, Pastor Sue Ellen
