HIYA CHRISTIANS, and welcome to Summer!
Just to show you that my heart is in the right place, I invite you to consider a new way to memorize a Bible Verse. You know, something light, entertaining, and enriching through these hot days before us.
First, please know that many people find great value in memorizing pieces of Scripture. Remembering comforting and reassuring passages can be of great help in a crisis or tragedy (or in any situation, for that matter). Knowing some Scripture can be of great help to you and this Summer is a great time to start.
Second, know that there is the old-fashioned way of reading and repeating over and over and over again. Takes a long time, though. And then there are the three S’s (see it, say it, script it). This is an improvement, but I recommend something better.
Memorizing to music. First, find a piece of music you find catchy and repetitious. Next, add the words from the Bible verse to your tune. Mix up the words, if necessary. Knowing the verse word for word can help, but knowing what the verse means is the important thing. Next, mark the verse in your Bible. This will help you find it again later on.
And there you have it! Take a little time to learn and make it fun! Also, I will not be with you July 16th, because Nancy and I are on vacay. Bishop Candea will be with you. Ciao!
