What does it look like for you to “worship the Lord with gladness?” We gather for communal worship, but the ways God speaks to our hearts and how we respond in praise, thanksgiving, love and joy may look very different.
Worship is adoration and reverence for God; we may find ourselves worshiping at various times, at home, at a hospital, at work or outside riding through pastures, but do we honor it as worship? “Know that the Lord is God.”
It is he that made us, and we are his.” God with boundless joy and creativity, speaks to us using forms of prayer and worship meaningful for each of us.
How might you pay attention to what brings adoration and reverence into your daily life? As you notice, what might it look like to give thanks and respond in a way that feels most right? Maybe it’s singing, shouting for joy, sitting in silence up in the beautiful flint hills, creating a piece of art, dancing, whispering a prayer, or journaling. May your days be filled with glad worship, giving thanks to and blessing God.
Thank you ALL for continuing to mail offerings and giving on Tithely. The summer months are busy with reunions, vacations, outdoor activities, etc. We sure miss seeing you in worship+
Holy Lord, teach us to give praise in the ordinary beauty of our church and our daily lives. Amen
