April showers bring May flowers. I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for some April showers. The ranchers and farmers are burning their pastures in readiness for the incoming cattle herds. I realize they need to finish this and rain just puts a damper on that. No pun intended there. However, we are getting pretty dry around here. I’m also very ready for May flowers! Speaking of ready. Are we ready for Holy week? I hope so because here we are! Holy week, the final time that our Lord Jesus spent here on this earth. He is about to accomplish what He came here to do. To be OUR sacrificial lamb. So His blood would wash us clean of all of our sins. He gave His all, for all.
This Sunday is Easter Sunday where we will praise and celebrate His resurrection. It is through our baptism that we are linked to His death and resurrection. We too, have the promise that we will be resurrected on that final day when Jesus will come for His faithful. He is risen! He is risen indeed! Jesus gave His all, His very life for us! What do we give in return? Do we give our love? Our blessings? Our time?
