Fall. The trees around us are showing their beauty. God is changing the landscape and rewarding our eyes with the beautiful colors He paints on each tree. He is preparing us for the coming season. Along with Fall comes the beginning of Advent. The awaiting of the coming celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior. Our rock, and our salvation. The season of Pentecost is also coming to a close. Pentecost is usually called the slow or ordinary time in the life of the Church. To me Pentecost is the time where we dig into our faith and come closer to Jesus. We hear, and read about His ministry. His ministry that leads us forth today and for almost 2,000 years since His birth. His teachings are our guide to God. To me this is no ordinary time. The ministry of Jesus not only brought Him closer to God, it is also intended to bring us closer to God. Pentecost is our time to become a little quieter and to listen just a little closer to what Jesus is telling us. What the Word of God is saying to us. There is nothing more important to our lives than listening to the Word of God. Absorbing it and making it a part of our daily lives. Living in the Word of God. He is our protector, and the one who provides for us daily. By the time this is printed we will have voted. I pray for our country and I pray for its people. I pray that everyone votes their Christian values. Praise and thanksgiving to God for all of the blessings that He bestows on us daily.
God’s Blessings to you all.
