Greetings! October is going to be a fast-paced month I have a feeling. There are many things going on. The Broddle’s will be celebrating their 65th Wedding Anniversary, Christ’s Kids is in full swing with about 20 in attendance every Wednesday after school and there are about 7 of the older ones gathering in the basement. We have a new curriculum being taught to the children this year that follows along with the Gospel. It seems to be going very well. Thank you to the teachers and helpers for taking the time out of their busy days to teach about Christ. Confirmation classes are underway with 7 in attendance.
Football games and volleyball are in deep swing. Hopefully some get to go and cheer their favorite player on. Summer is over and we are in Fall. Cooler temps have invaded, and I’m pretty sure that most were ready for this change. Even the hillsides were beginning to show the heat and lack of rain in the area. Halloween and Thanksgiving are just around the corner. Along with Thanksgiving, we will also be coming into the season of Advent. The season where we celebrate and remember the birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ. The beginning of the sacrifice that God made for all. Not just a select few but for all the world.
What a gift that was given to all! Let us remember to give thanks daily to God and to pray for those that are needing His healing and comfort.
